With regards to Africa and Sri Lanka, there is only so much attention to be paid. There are a lot of horrible things going on in the world, a few of which are not our fault. Taking into account our "liberation" of Iraqis from the horrors of Saddam Hussein, maybe doing nothing is not such a bad path to take.
